LinkedIn Guide

Here is a guide to help you effectively set up and use LinkedIn to enhance your presence on the platform as a researcher, scientist or leader:

General LinkedIn policy at AU FOOD

Any requests for posting something to the Institute’s LinkedIn page (The Department of Food Science, @AUFOOD) should be sent to the LinkedIn Ambassador from your Science Team. Please contact your Science Team Leader if you have any doubts about who your Team’s Ambassador is.

  • What’s suitable for the official @AUFOOD LinkedIn?
If the post you're requesting for the Institute’s LinkedIn page is relevant for #AUFOOD as a whole (e.g. Apple juice from the #AUFOOD fields in Auning, new research results, new large collaborations or partnerships, big events, excursions with lots of different scientists from FOOD), it’s suitable for posting on our #AUFOOD page, and your LinkedIn Ambassador can help you with that.

  • What’s suitable for your private LinkedIn?
If the post you’re requesting for the Institute’s LinkedIn page has a basis in your personal experiences, milestones, and career achievements, that are mostly a success for the individual’s own career or reputation, it’s not suitable for posting on our #AUFOOD page, and should instead be uploaded to your own, private LinkedIn page. You can refer to this guide for know-how on how to set up your profile and create posts on LinkedIn to boost your professional network and share your success and experiences!
